Around the Lake to Wawa, Ontario

This is the window I  have to take my picture out of, so it's quick turn on the camera, pull up the window, pull up the screen ahhhhh, the pictures gone! Ansel Adams didn't have it this bad.

All the great lakes and 3 more of Lake Heron would fit into Lake Superior, it's as big a the state of Maine

This basalt rock is what the bed of Lake Superior is made of, you see it on the north side of the lake. Lava formed it and if it hadn't made this lake bed Minnesota would have Atlantic Oceanfront, and our country would be split in two!
There are islands on Lake Superior and in some cases those islands have lakes on them with islands and those islands have lakes on them with islands too, that's big, huh? At the bottom of Lake Superior is the lowest place in the United States, it's so cold in the lake that it's said the lake gives up no bodies, meaning that it's too cold for bacteria to grow in the bodies to create the gas to float the bodies to the top, they stay below, the wreck of the Fitzgerald still  has the crew on it.
On a lighter note.....here in White River, Ontario, they claim this is the home of Winnie the Pooh, I didn't even know he was Canadian!
Downtown Wawa, we are looking for something exciting to do as it's Cindy's birthday, not going to happen
They could have convinced me Wawa was the home of the Canadian Goose

A little rain must fall to make the rainbow, enjoyed our night in Wawa

  1. Happy birthday, Cindy!

When you get to Lake Huron, here's a bit of trivia for you that relates to what you said above: Lake Manitou is the world's largest lake on an island in a lake.
