Let us introduce you to Garmina

Here is the newest member of our family from Garmin GPS.....Garmina, and we do mean GarMEANa,...
Garmina has dropped us in to some interesting situations and she never misses a beat with her recalculating chant, nothing fazes her

We searched google for the best BBQ in Nashville, figured it was Martin's and Jack's, took both their address down and went out with Garmina to find them, this is where Garmina said Martin's was, we never did find Martin's BBQ
Fortunately we passed this BBQ on our way to find Martin's, and it was high up the list for best BBQ's so we pulled in and tried it

Oh was it good, fried green tomatoes, fried Okra, the best pork sandwich I ever had, Cindy said her brisket was the best she had ever had, and this is a chain of restaurants, with drive thru's! We gotta get one of these  in Seattle.

When we finished eating we decide to let Garmina show us the sights, so we hit attractions on her menu and up pops the Death Row Sanitarium of Slaughter, we couldn't resist, thinking it had some historic connection to Nashville, what, we couldn't figure out, but we had Garmina take us there

Wouldn't you know Garmina can find this place, but it turns out it is a fright ride, complete with 50 actors and 100 different scenes to scare the pants off of you, not open so we couldn't go, darn

This is the best picture we could get of the Grand Ole Opry House, there were people hanging off the off ramp to get a better picture but I'm not that much of a country music fan, we are staying just down the street from this in the KOA campground

We program in to Garmina to take us to City Hall, so that we can get to downtown, this tower looking affair looked like something from Gotham City and Batman
Turns out it's the AT&T Tower, still looks Batmaney

There are two amazing looking churches in downtown, I like downtown, it's old and new and looks like it's user friendly to all, many people there, on a Sunday

Downtown is bordered by a river, there is some kind of festival going on by the river, and every biker looks to have shown up, can't figure out where this roller coaster went to

What looks like a space capsule is the Visitor's Center for Nashville, this town keeps amazing me, it is always something more than I thought it would be, I really like it

I thought this was cool, they also have a Davey Crockett Building and Andrew Jackson Buildings

I don't know anything about Country Music, so the Hall of Fame and all the other tourist things were wasted on me, but I do know about good BBQ and we were about to see if Jack's measured up, I mean it had been a few hours since we last ate at Bar B Cuties
My pork sandwich was made with a homemade roll, it was smoked just right and moist, have to say it was a little bit better than Barb B Cutie, but Cindy's brisket was fatty and gristly, definitely a thumbs down, sorry Jack........
Have to let those little piggies fly away
Forgot to tell you it was 88 degrees in Nashville, the rest of the day we spent in the laundry mat, and boy was it hot in there, off to Memphis tomorrow

  2. Does Garmina get her own room when she gets home or are you going to leave her all alone in the motorhome? She'll be lonely.

  3. GPS Rules! A bud recently gave me a "previously owned" Magellan! For being the most 'geographically challenged' person, this is truely a wonderful tool, and really cool gadget! Don't know how I possibly got by without one!
