Day trip through the Adirondacks Mountains, looking for leaves

We stopped at the visitors center in Thousand Islands and they told us that the leaves were at their peak in the Adirondacks, so we loaded up and off we went

The leaves were pretty but they were just starting to get red, not quite there yet

We ran into a couple from Quebec who said the same thing, we looked like we were a few days too early, they had been to the Catskill Mountains the day before and told us to wait, they weren't ready yet

So......instead of heading to the Catskill Mountains, we were going to stay at Woodstock, we decided to take a break and play a little, we went to Herkimer Diamond Mines, you know a diamond's a girls best friend
