Go like crazy on a old back woods road in the middle of no where until you think you can't take it any more and voila, you are in Ely!
You can see why the bears are here, woods, woods, woods, lakes, lakes, lakes.
We spent a wonderful afternoon in here, the back of the center is a natural habitat with three bears living there, Ted happened to be eating when we were there.
Notice little squirrel to the left who is not worried one bit about the big old black bear!
The little town of Ely, mostly canoe outfitters for all of the near by lakes
Had to say good by to Ted, since we were just "that far from" Lake Superior we decided to take the Circle Tour around it, so off we went down that same bumpy, highway 1 toward the Lake
